An office that guarantees integrity
The Office of Ethics & Professional Standards & Conscious Conflict Resolution (EPS) has developed the Ten rights of a Kundalini Yoga Student, to make clear the sacred relationship between Teacher and Student.
EPS oversees the ethical conduct and integrity of our community, including Kundalini Yoga Teachers, KRI Teacher Trainers and Sikh Dharma Ministers.
Our organizations take any allegations of abuse or harm very seriously. We stand united against abuse of power, sexual abuse, any form of exploitation, and any use of sexuality as a vehicle for causing harm.
Since 2014, our Office of Ethics & Professional Standards (EPS) based in the USA with a European representation in Germany, has been addressing complaints and refining its approach to maintaining the ethical standards critical to our organizations. It continues to evaluate and improve its process for overseeing ethical conduct, handling complaints and working to enable greater understanding and healing for affected individuals as well as the wider community.
Our organizations are studying with EPS and the Office of Dharmic Counsel (ODC) for any opportunities to take actions that strengthen the ethics, compliance and enforcement policies and programs of our organizations and to ensure the safety of everybody who participates in our community.
We are committed to taking the necessary steps to ensure that our organizations provide safe and protective environments for all community members and respond appropriately and quickly if allegations of harm are reported.
Our Office of Ethics and Professional Standards (EPS), formed in 2014, works to ensure safety by providing training in professional standards and ethics policies, having a robust process for reporting concerns, and addressing complaints in a timely and effective manner.
EPS continues to seek a deeper understanding of past issues and of which steps need to be taken to ensure that we foster an environment that is safe for everyone going forward.
