The theme of 2013: “Live For Each Other”

Having entered the Age of Aquarius let us be uplifted by this wonderful change!  During the next five years of the Yoga Festival we will focus on one of the five sutras of the Aquarian Age as given by Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga and White Tantric Yoga. The sutra for 2013 is:

„Recognize that the other person is you.“

Our ego likes to judge and be right and in so doing separates itself. Even if we have the same weaknesses or strengths as others, we don’t see them as our reflection. However if you practice yoga then consciousness conquers the ego. It flows through everything and everybody and is connected to all - we call it Ek Ong Kar, the one creative power.  Now you start relating to the soul of the other person, not to the ego.  Then, the other person is you -  her soul is your soul – the one in all. Yogi Bhajan expressed this wonderfully when he said to us: “don’t live at each other -  live for each other...”  This is the theme of this year’s festival.

Application: Look today into the eyes of somebody else, and see yourself...

Below are the Sutras of the Aquarian Age for the next four years of the European Yoga Festival:

2014: When the time is on you, start, and the pressure will be off.
2015: Vibrate the Cosmos; the Cosmos shall clear the path.
2016: There is a way through every block.
2017: Understand through compassion or you will misunderstand the times.
